How are we?

What Is International Future Networks?

InternationalFuture Networks is a non-profit, non-political,and not religious affiliation fighting against all forms of discrimination.

IFN was founded in 2014 in order to contribute to reducing inequalities between the North and the South through training and job creation.

IFN builds its actions on the following topics:

  • Reduce social, economic and digital divides
  • Encourage innovation, ITC investments and scientific research.
  • Explain and educate young people about global contemporaryissues such as end of oil, scarcity of drinking water, agricultural productionlimits, health problems, warming of the planet, environmentalissues…

As means of action, IFN was given the goals of:

1 Promoting intercultural encounters with similar associations in other countries to reduce social, economic and digital divide between rich and poor countries by encouraging contacts and exchanges of experience

2 Working for the creation of a logistics platform dedicated to policy makers of the future such as students at the end of the academic curriculum and young professionals starting their careers.

3 Spread the knowledgeculture based on intercultural exchange and consolidation of training young students from different universities of the country, and this by providing technical and cultural training for an immediate employability.

4 Encourage the creation of a community of sharing and pooling resources to reduce the negative impacts of globalization that the world faces, based on information and awareness, among decision makers of the future.

5 To support innovation, scientific and technological research by engaging in the development of a network of researchers, academics, professionals, investors, and finance people…

6 Call the adoption of strong incentive measures to invest in data processing and transmission technologies, through the creation ofaeasy and attractive legal and fiscal framework.

Charter

THE CHARTER OF THE ASSOCIATION
« INTERNATIONAL FUTURE NETWORKS »

1 Contacts between people have always been harbingers of good growth prospects.
It is universally recognized since ancient times that meetings between people are a driving force for development. For example, the Silk Road has managed to bind together various people (Turks, Persians, Byzantines, Chinese…) and represented a force for integration of tribes who lived up till there of isolation.

Today, globalization is at the heart of political debates and, more specifically, the economic policy debates. Simultaneously, the development of trade is tremendously contested even as the needs of cooperation have never been so stronger.

It would be illusory to believe that the economic globalization, fruit of globalization, works the same way in all countries of the world. Trade liberalization has allowed the best-prepared countries on institutional, economic, cultural, and educational plans to benefit from the deal to boost their own economies.

Many other countries, so-called developing world, suffer from competition and have been unable to compete on international markets, because they did not know how, or could not upgraded in time their own educational systems, modernize their infrastructure and reform their economies.

In addition to the first gap that had long existed between the Northern and Southern countries, the process of developing started last twenty years, has created a new divide within the bloc of emerging countries themselves.

We believe that intercultural encounters can reduce this double gap as they are an accelerator of social transformation, culture and thought.

2 A particular input from our association.

In this context, our association « International Future Networks » is to contribute to reducing inequalities among countries of the North and South by:

i) The promotion of international relations between people, companies and institutions in the fields of science, technology, culture, and research.

ii) The contribution to promote exchanges between developed and emerging countries, in a larger context, characterized by globalization of trade and finance, information and communication technologies moving fast.

Our goal is to enable current and future generations to fulfil their needs to communicate, feed their curiosity, and develop their talents to foster intercultural dialogue.

As a result, let us work together to reduce as much as possible the economic and digital divides, by creating a new space for exchange, progress, development and cultural enrichment, through out thelaunching of a logistics platform, dedicated to individuals as well as national and international associations.

3 For an opening that reduces inequality and preserves difference.

Whereas economic and social inequalities are impediments to development in the medium to long term, because they generate within societies and among countries, tensions or crises that are costly for all, while in contrast, the exchange of knowledge, intercultural encounters, transfer of technology, are powerful engines of progress, we are working towards the creation of a trading community, sharing and pooling of resources.

4 It is the duty of each one of us to render to the world at least as much as they received.
Considering the challenges the world faces are daunting; whether the economic and digital divides, global warming, conservation of biodiversity, prevention and treatment of conflicts, management of epidemics and health risks, or whether poverty, inequality, social handicaps, illiteracy, unemployment, we believe it belongs to all of us, as men and women, citizens of the world, to try to provide an answer to these challenges.

We also believe that the way we approach the future is often a determining factor in the way we live our present. This is probably not because of our poor ability to predict future or trace prospective lines but more the result of the great confidence we give it.

5 Progress is worth it only if all shares it.

How a nature could be changed into a culture and how changescan benefit to the next generation if acquired characters are not transmitted?

Thus, under what conditions progress is possible? We do believe that progress is possible only if cultural data flows from one generation to another and from one country to another.

Assuming that economic globalization has not benefited to each one of us, and given the speed at which communication and information technologies thrive in the Northern countries, we believe it is not possible to reduce the digital divide without a minimum of solidarity and cooperation between people.

That is why we are working towards a sharing of progress through the dissemination of knowledge and expertise.
